The Madeira born conductor and cellist Luis Andrade is one of Portugal's most versatile musical personalities. He is a regular guest in the music centres of Europe. In recent years he has appeared as a conductor in the Opera Produciton of Moza ts Don Giovanni produced in collaboration with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and the Stichting Aurora.

He is a regular guest conductor of the Orquestra Classica da Madeira, Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Bankok Symphony Orchestra, Limburgs Symfonie Orkest, Ensemble Lyatochinsky Kiev, Orquestra Camera Portuguesa, Youth Orchestra Portugal and the Valerius Ensemble.

Guest performances have taken him to Europe and Asia to festivals such as the Festival International de Musica da Santarem, Bornem Festival, Dalheimer Sommer, Festival de Musica da Madeira, Festival St. Amand in France. He has performed with such personalities as Raquel Camarinha, Eduarda Melo, Alexander Kagan, Pedro Carneiro and Carlo Marchione.

As a Cellist Luis Andrade is a soughtafter soloist and chamber musician. He gives recitals in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Korea. He is also a permanent cellist with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra. As a founding member of the String Trio of the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, he has appeared in concerts and radio productions in Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands. Together with Lies Colman, piano he recorded his CD 'Sum' in 2016 and gave concerts in Belgium (Flagey). His most recent project includes concerts in Amsterdam and Funchal with all Beethoven sonatas for cello and piano performed in one day.

 

Der aus Madeira stammende Dirigent und Cellist Luis Andrade ist eine der vielseitigsten Musikerpersönlichkeiten Portugals.

Regelmäßig ist er zu Gast in den Musikzentren Europas. Als Dirigent war er in den letzten Jahren in der Opernproduktion von

Mozarts Don Giovanni produziert in Zusammenarbeit des Netherlands Symphony Orchestra mit der Stichting Aurora zu erleben.

Er ist regelmäßiger Gastdirigent des Orquestra Classica da Madeira, Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Bankok Symphony

Orchestra, Limburgs Symfonie Orkest, Ensemble Lyatochinsky Kiew, Orquestra Camera Portuguesa, Youth Orchestra Portugal

und des Valerius Ensemble.

Gastspiele führten ihn nach  Europa und Asien zu Festivals wie dem Festival International de Musica da Santarem,

Als Cellist ist Luis Andrade ein gefragter Solist und Kammermusiker. Er gibt Recitals in Deutschland, Belgien, Niederlande,

Portugal und Korea. Außerdem ist er momentan als fester Cellist im Netherlands Symphony Orchestra tätig. Als

Gründungsmitglied des Streichtrio des Netherlands Symphony Orchestra wirkte er bei Konzert- und Rundfunkproduktionen in Deutschland, Portugal und Niederlande mit. Zusammen mit Lies Colman, Klavier spielte er 2016 seine CD "Sum" ein und konzertierte daraufhin in Belgien (Flagey). Sein jüngstes Projekt umfasst Konzerte in Amsterdam und Funchal mit sämtlichen Sonaten von Beethoven für Violoncello und Klavier aufgeführt an einem Tag.
